Damn sure is, especially for a ranch horse who’s pounded these hills since he was two, and done it well.
Aww, so sad to lose such a heartfelt companion. A steady steed indeed.
How’s Clarence handling it? He was a great horse and friend. He will be missed.
So sorry, John – those Montana Docs were the best! I miss the ones we raised. He was a good partner. RIP, indeed.
My condolences, John.
I’m so sorry about your horse, John.
Oh, I’m so sorry about the gelding. What a great life he had, living and working with you two on your beautiful ranch.
So sorry for your loss, John.
Looks too much like my “Red” who served me well over my cowboy years. He was the best and I have many fond memories of him and various days together sorting, roping, doctoring, even trail riding (which he never was too excited about partaking in). He was a Doc Bar bred horse and in my humble opinion he was as good of a ranch horse as you could ever hope to have.
