DAHLIA AND FROG

With coffee or cocktails, the tree frogs have kept us amused on the deck with death defying leaps off the table and railing, or this one at home in a dahlia that Robbin picked and stuck in a flower pot of chives.

  1. I Remember the tree frogs from when I lived in California. In the evenings they would crawl up on our living room windows. I thought they were adorable, but my mother hated them. She was deathly afraid of them. She wasn’t afraid of them just to look at them, but it’s when they jumped, especially towards her, she would freak out.

  2. A delightful respite from the news. I just don’t want to see any photos of frogs in your coffee and cocktails. Thank you!

    What a delightful shot.
“In a world older and more complete than ours [animals] move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth.”– Henry Beston
