  1. Years ago, my husband, an American history buff and poetry lover, pitched the idea of attending the gathering at Elko to the principal at the high school where he works. It was approved but for some reason, which neither he nor I can remember, he didn’t go. He has been kicking himself since. Retirement is looming and I see a road-trip.

John & Robbin, it has been a long time since we were in contact. Conservation Beef got shelved even though it received great reviews by everyone who tested the product. Due to some health issues we retired from managing the Sun Ranch, purchased a home and enough ground to pasture our 2 best horses and favorite pack mule, and brokered ranch real estate for about 4 years. Then we became gypsies for the next 6 years, living in a very nice 5th wheel and seeing much of the west and mountain states. With continued health issues we made the decision to give up the gypsie life, and purchased a home in Tucson, Arizona. We have been here a year and love it! I recently ran across your web site and especially like all the branding pictures shown within this particular posting. Certainly brings back memories of the good life. We miss our horses, especially Shelby’s colts. She raised some good ones.

I will stop rambling and wish you well. We enjoy your postings and photos.
    You have a unique talent.

Your friends from Montana and now Arizona, Rich & Shelby Hewitt
