Wild Cumcumber, Sierra Man-root – March 10, 2013
No need to go to outer space
to touch the stars
sparkling at our feet.
Startlingly beautiful . . .
I really like to see the Purple Chinese Houses, especially on a wet year. 2013 was dry, and this example is a little weak and bedraggled. They like damp and disturbed north slopes and are relatively hard to find on the ranch. Quite stunning when everything is right.
