Thanks for the comment, Elizabeth. A tough shot into the sun for me. He/she wasn’t going to wait long, I had to take it.
Beautiful shot.
Nice interpretation.
Thanks, Allen. I think the photo says ‘room to stretch your wings’, I’m a little claustrophobic.
On the open range – it helps – guess. lol
Stunning! I would love to have that shot hanging on my wall.
You’re welcome to try to reproduce it. Thanks for the comment. 🙂
Excellent capture! 🙂
Magnificent photo!
Looks like natures totem pole.
Attagirl, Anne, you’re right!
Up, up and away to the great beyond.
Coyotes and vultures: nature’s garbage men.

Great shot!
The birds we see, here in the Sierras, are quite impressive. This is a great shot you got here. Thanks.
What perfect catch and a wonderful shot!

Wonderful!
Beautiful!
Gorgeous photo. Part tote, pole, part crucifixion. Turkey vultures can be so stunning, and you have captured their wingspan so well.
Thanks, Babsje. Not as delicate and regal as herons, but certainly more plentiful around here except in winter. When roosting together near water, I think of them as deacons.
You’re welcome. Deacons is a good word choice.
That’s an incredible shot, and what a magnificent wingspan…..awesome in many ways 🙂
…humbling in others (which is the same thing!). Thanks for your comment from my grandmother’s home town.
Where’s your Grandmother from?
Youngest daughter of a Edinburgh headmaster, she left for Fresno when she was 18 to teach English to the local Indians around 1910.
