   MUCH better than the NYT……. going beneath the glitz and trope to “…an authentic vision of belonging”….. Except he seemed surprised when you said you belong to thte ranch, not the other way around!

     Surprise? Maybe, but I doubt it. I was pleased that he took our individual sense of place a step further, that we bring it with us when we come to Elko, or go anywhere for that matter. An exceptional piece of writing.

   Yes, an exceptional piece. It is that sense of place — the one we carry with us— that grounds me in my ground. A great gift!
