ENFLAMED

Fires in the night flicker on different faces,
candlelit or shadows borne from torches,
glowing herds driven by separate forces:

Black & white
Love & hate
Wood & steel

of celestial guitars—how loathing
corrupts the innocent and trusting,
all the possibilities of anything more.
