Caged from cattle,
who were her people
pioneering in the foothills?

  1. Homer’s first wife (Marguerite) was a Stafford – could be the same family.

    • Good info, Sophie. The marker is on the Paregien Ranch just above Effie’s (Hilliard) spring, looking out over Antelope Valley, Elderwood and Woodlake. Wayne Weller’s high school welding class made the protective cage for her grave. We’ve been meaning to plant Narcissus bulbs inside it for years now.
