  1. Great to see John. Especially love the portrait, and the roadrunners, and have a special fondness for Hereford bulls. Photographing all black cows gets boring!!!

  2. You sure the juvie is a male? We are never exactly certain regarding the sex, except during courtship when they display distinctive behaviors.
Last of our five nestlings fledged before Wednesday. Indications (courtship again yesterday) are we may have a third brood.

  3. Looking at all black cows gets boring too, Heather. We prefer the BWF X. And John, I’m sure of nothing. The female, sometimes with the male, has been bringing the juvenile into the yard for a couple of days, and like an adolescent, he gets confused when exposed to dogs and cats. But because he’s acting out the courtship rituals to some degree, topnotch up and feathering, I made the assumption knowing you might correct me. I expect to have more opportunities for photographs, our yard being the coolest place for miles around. Thank you both for your comments.
