Since my early a.m.post, I’ve fed the 1st-calf heifers, finding the lucky calf above. Coyotes go for the hamstring. The calf must have bawled and the young cows ran him off. The girls were understandably nervous this morning. My coyote with a ‘taste for veal’ is obviously still around.

    You try to say something understanding about a coyote and see how he repays you? I’m sorry but I have no room in my heart for a kind thought about a coyote!

    There’s only one way to permanently change this coyote’s tastes, but he’s no dummy. It needs to be done quickly before he teaches others and they become a pack.
