Over a hundred years ago

they herded turkeys along

the creek to market,

 

pioneered citrus

to harvest the gold

at Thanksgiving, 1914.

    This is great, John. Turkeys and citrus! John Grant came through Albuquerque not long ago. We had a fun and furious visit. My 80 year old sis-in-law keeps growing her tangerines on five acres. I haven’t gotten over there in years but hope to and will visit you guys for sure! Marla Painter
